Engine Oil

Hi Everybody, Iam a newcomer to this forum. Thanks for all the help your members are giving to specific problems of volvo cars. I have an s40 (1.6) and would like to know from the learned members which is the best engine oil to be used as users usually are in the dark about this subject. Thanks again.

the 1.6 doesnt suffer from mayonnaise or oil starvation so 20w40 multigrade would be fine,dont bother with the synthetic,the dohc/turbo needs this to prevent oil starvation/,mayo
