OS X system audio playback through 002R?

How can I set my system audio to playback though my 002R? I've selected it in 'system prefs/sound' and also in 'audio/MIDI setup', although the 'default' output is only selectable as 'built in'. I'm now getting some audio through the 002, but downloaded mp3's and video playback through the internal. I couldn't find any info on these foums, although I may not be searching the right phrases, as I'm sure it has come up. Thanks OS 10.3.1

What application are you using to play back the downloaded MP3 and video? are they in the Supported Apps list in Digidesign CoreAudio Setup app?

It is to my knowledge tat you are not able to playback audio in your computer through digi hardware, that is why it only shows your built-in as an option. And unless you have the authorized MP3 encoder your not gonna be able to import/export MP3s with ProTools.

Hi Thanks for the Digidesign Audio Apps tip - didn't know about this. It's the System Output I was mainly interested in - no 002 option here. Anyhow, I think I need to do a little more Core Audio research. Thanks
