Rewire Installation Problem

Hello, I have tried without success to re-install REAPER with Rewire capabilities on my Mac (osx 10.6.8). Since I did not initially install REAPER (v 4.10) with Rewire, I uninstalled REAPER and then re-installed it looking specifically for "Additional Functionality" to install Rewire during the installation process. I was given no such option. The only choice given to me was to drag the REAPER icon into the Applications folder, which simply re-installed REAPER without Rewire (I'm assuming that if Rewire is not a choice under "All Plugins" that it is not installed). Can anyone help? Thank you.

Have you, or anyone manage to fix it? I tried uninstalling, and reinstalling. I tried an older version. I tried downloading and installing rewire from Proppelerhead. I don't see rewire in the Reaper FX, or in my pro tools instrument inserts(even though digrewire.dpm is in my application support/digidesign/Plug Ins folder) When I select the option in Reaper under Plugins/Rewire/Check for ReWire mixer... I get an error message: ReWire Info. It does not appear ReWire is installed on this system. I don't get it. There's no options in the installer to make sure it's properly installing rewire. My whole purpose for using Reaper is to use it for hosting VIs for Pro Tools 10 HD on my OS X 10.7.5 system. Thanks!
